Conventus is seeking an experienced Recruiter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruiting for all positions across the organization with emphasis on sales-focused roles. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers to identify top talent and develop effective hiring strategies. Beyond sourcing and screening, you’ll play a critical role in refining our interview practices and recruitment processes. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our Quality Control team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our mortgage lending processes. This position also involves collaboration with our Policies and Procedures and Learning and Development teams to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough quality control reviews of mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and document discrepancies, errors, and potential risks in loan documentation, underwriting, closing, and servicing.
Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to improve loan processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing practices.
Collaborate with the Policies and Procedures team to update and refine quality control guidelines and protocols.
Work closely with Learning and Development to develop training materials and conduct training sessions aimed at improving quality and compliance.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains compliant with all relevant laws and standards.
Prepare and present quality control reports and metrics to senior management, highlighting key findings and areas for improvement.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, compliance, or underwriting within the mortgage lending industry.
Strong knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, investor guidelines, and industry best practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in mortgage loan origination systems and quality control software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in private mortgage lending or non-conventional loan products.
Previous experience working with Policies and Procedures and/or Learning and Development teams.
Certification in quality control or mortgage compliance (e.g., Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional).
