Position Description
Full-Time Position
Location: San Francisco, CA or West Palm Beach, FL
Salary Range: $70k – $90k / annually
Required 4 days per week in the office (Mon-Thu). Please do not apply if this does not align with you.
Conventus is seeking a passionate and experienced Draws Analyst to join our team. The Draws Analyst is responsible for managing and processing construction loan draw requests, ensuring disbursements align with project progress, budgets, and lender requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with borrowers, inspectors, contractors, and internal underwriting and servicing teams.

Responsibilities
Review and Process Draw Requests:
Carefully examine draw requests, ensuring they meet all necessary criteria and comply with loan terms and conditions.
Verify that required documentation, such as invoices, progress reports, and lien waivers, are complete and accurate.
Calculate draw amounts based on project progress and loan terms.
Prepare draw packages for review and approval by appropriate authorities.
Documentation Verification:
Conduct thorough due diligence to validate the authenticity and accuracy of supporting documents.
Identify and address any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the documentation.
Ensure that all required signatures and approvals are in place.
Compliance Adherence:
Stay informed about all applicable lending regulations and guidelines.
Ensure that all draw processes and procedures are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor and report any potential compliance issues to management.
Flag issues requiring escalations to underwriting, servicing, or legal.
Support internal audits and investor reporting as needed.
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Accurately enter draw information into our loan management system.
Maintain detailed records of all draw transactions and supporting documentation.
Prepare periodic reports on draw activity and compliance.
Third Party/Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service to borrowers and internal stakeholders.
Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve any issues related to draw requests.
Maintain positive relationships with borrowers and other team members.
Coordinate with third-party inspectors to confirm physical progress on-site matches submitted draw schedules.
Communicate with borrowers and contractors to request missing documentation or clarify discrepancies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
1–3 years of experience in construction lending, loan servicing, or real estate finance.
Familiarity with AIA documents, lien waivers, and construction budgets.
Strong Excel and document management skills.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
Experience with construction lending platforms (e.g., Land Gorilla, Built, Nexus, or similar).
Understanding of lien laws and title requirements.
Knowledge of construction sequencing and terminology.
Additional Notes:
This position may require occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
